To provide a professional, prompt and efficient Insurance Broking service to Clients and Insurers.

To observe the regulations issued by Financial Conduct Authority and other regulatory bodies.

  • Knowledge of both Personal and Commercial lines products

Main Duties & Responsibilities

 

 

Sales, Advice and Policy Administration

 

For the classes of business agreed, undertake a full range of duties ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements including: -

 

  • Quotes/New business: -
    • Provide quotations on all product lines ensuring suitability with customer’s demands and needs
    • Place risks on cover and obtain/issue appropriate documentation including: -
      • Statutory documents (IDD, TOBA, DRI etc)
      • Statement of Facts (or Proposal Forms where relevant)
      • NCB proof
      • Covernotes
      • Policy Schedules
      • Certificates
  • Renewals: -
    • Invite renewal on the best terms for the client re-broking as appropriate
    • Renew/replace policies issuing appropriate documentation
    • Lapse policies as appropriate
       
  • Mid-term adjustments/cancellations: -
    • Process mid-term adjustments/cancellations as appropriate
    • Issue revised documentation as appropriate
       
  • Payments: -
    • Provide advice to clients on available payment methods
    • Process payments
    • Set up finance agreements as required


 

  • Letters/memos: -
    • Issue letters to clients/Insurers as appropriate
    • Issue memos to Insurers enclosing/requesting documentation as appropriate

 

  • Complaints:-
    • Deal with complaints efficiently and compliantly.
    • Enter complaint details onto the system
    • Realise when complaint needs to be referred to line manager
       
  • System diaries: -
    • Use the diary system as necessary to ensure a clear audit trail

 

Accounts/Banking

 

Undertake accounting/banking duties as required including: -

 

  • Daily banking (including day end report)

 

Other Offices

 

Support other offices including:-

 

  • Offering advice on products
  • Offering advice on system issues
  • Offering advice on marketing strategies
  • Dealing with closed offices telephone calls

 

Marketing
 

Undertake marketing duties as required ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements including: -

 

  • Contact previously insured clients in the hope of regaining lost business
  • Cross selling

 

 

Compliance, Training & Development

 

 

  • Observe company procedures in the following areas to ensure the firm remains compliant with FCA and other regulations
  • Conduct Risk/ Treating Customers Fairly (TCF)
  • Conflicts of Interest
  • Training & Competence
  • Financial crime including:
  • Money laundering
  • Bribery Act 2010
  • UK financial sanctions
  • Data security (including Data Protection Act)

 

  • Produce and maintain own personal development plan with your line manager
